AND SO MUCH MORE! Active Rain has always amazed me but Rain Camp was honestly the best seminar/class I have ever attended. It could be because I LOVE Social Networking and technology or maybe it was because Ben Kinney is so darn funny. Whatever it was - I HIGHLY suggest you make one of these Raincamps! You will learn SO much. If you just take a few things from Rain Camp - you will be doing good. Luckily I took good notes and have gone through them and chosen my favorites like: creating fan pages on Facebook and google alerts to all sorts of really cool websites that are "FREE"... I forgot who said this but I really liked it "They used to say you have to pay to play - now you have to play to play." - Brilliant! I have barely slept since I have been home from Dallas! I also feel like dominating my market like never before... LET IT RAIN!!! LET IT RAIN!!! See what others say about RainCamp.

My dear friend Elizabeth Golden (Sis) has used Monte and is so jealous that I got to meet him before she did! She is so pleased with his work and highly recommends him. Glad he's your new sign guy!

I drove 6 hours to go to Dallas as I sort of figured they would probably never make it to "Arkansas" LOL! My husband and I made a small vacation out of it. You guys this is worth going to I wouldn't wait around for it to come to your area - go to them ;)
Nicky - I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you! I'm still sorting through my notes. I did start an "I Love Tulsa" Facebook fan page and it already has over 1100 fans. And Donna Harris from Austin helped me start a FB ad. You're right - Ben Kinney was awesome - I would recommend anyone travel to hear him. I thought about going to the Denver Raincamp, but just can't spare anymore time until after the 1st-time buyers are under contract. (Work getting in the way!) YEAH for RainCamp!

Sorry I missed you there. Monte is a good friend, and the best sign guy in the business. Not only can he customize a great sign, I have frames from him that are over ten years old. When I changed companies, I saved a bunch of money just buying inserts.
Nicky, I haven't seen the picnik application - can you create slideshows with the free version or do you have the premium? I'd appreciate the info -- and great post by the way -- always helps to hear from someone first hand!
I know what you mean! I attended raincamp in San Francisco awhile ago and it was truly amazing.
Pam - They have the slideshow app. from main home page on right hand side it says SHOW - there are some that are free (this one is) however it is much better with the Premium as you can upload multiple photos at once (huge time saver)... HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!
Joe - I actually placed an order with Monte before I went to RainCamp and was so thrilled to meet him! When I returned home my signs were waiting for me :) I love them.

Rain Camp Dallas was AWESOME! I've been apart of the AR family for one month and I've had so much fun in this short period of time meeting and connecting with some old friends.

I actually learned the picnik slideshow thing all on my own ;) but have to say I learned about picnik on ActiveRain!!! Glad you like it. It is so easy to do (especially if you sign up for the Premium account which is only $25/year (so worth it, too - I spent tons of money on PhotoShop just to get frustrated...) now I am back to Picasa (free) and Picnik.com (almost free or free) ;) much easier.
I had pretty high expectations for RainCamp and I have to admit that they exceeded my every expectation & then some. What a great group full of like minded people eager to learn and eager to teach - it truly felt great and I took so much from it. Hope everyone that wants to go to one gets the opportunity.

Great to hear that you're busy implementing what you've learned. RainCamp will be coming to Las Vegas in the next couple of months.
Looking forward to en event in my SoCal area. There's one in Las Vegas April 1 but scheduling is a problem. I have heard such amazing feredback about Raincamp - it is a MUST Do in my book.

I am a new Rainmaker and gone through the web training. Would love to go to a metro city for the BIG training, hoping perhaps there will be an opportunity for New Orleans or Houston which are close to me. Like you said about SW Arkansas, I dont think they will be coming to SW Louisiana lol!!
