I love when I see people that are truly passionate about what they do. I dont ever care what it is - I was in a gas station the other day and the clerk was so happy and passionate about her job that really put a smile on my face.
I feel fortunate to be doing something that I am passionate about! I love the real estate business and getting to be creative in my marketing and helping people buy and sell homes. I was told once that if you find something you love to do "you will never work a day in your life"...
Do you love what you do? If you do not have you considered what it is that you would love to do? Maybe if you could figure it out then you could find a way to make it happen!! My husband used to be in a profession at a large corporation that he truly was not passionate about. He was good at what he did but it wasn't exciting to him and the day he left to join the world of Real Estate he was a different person - a happier one. I admire that he took that leap of faith and love that he has never looked back!
I wish everyone could enjoy what they do like I do. Try to find the positive in what you do and do it to the very best of your ability until you can find a way to do what you truly are passionate about.
As a child I always thought I would grow up to be a doctor. I think it was that it was a challenge and that doctors make lots of money and they help others. Up until my 2nd year of college this was the path I took and one day I figured out that this may not be my true calling. I honestly did not know what I wanted nor did I until I got out of college however things worked out just the way they were meant to. My parents never "pushed me" to be anything - they always told me I could be or do anything I wanted to... but that they would be proud of my no matter what I did as long as I did it well and was happy doing it! I will never be able to thank them enough for that.
Just some random thoughts today - the first day of Spring - and here in Arkansas we are getting snow... ;) Go out and get passionate with what you do!!!

Nicky,
It is very inspirational to see people with passion for their jobs. I share that passion, however i will confess there are some days that just eat me alive. But by the next day it is SPRING again!
Vicky,
Absolutely, we are passionate about our subject, and the people we work with. We are passionate about our lives and the quality of it. It is joyous work! Thanks for asking!
Nicky- I love what I do, also! I recently transitioned my business to work solely with buyers, which everyone says is nuts. I decided that is what I love to do, so I am going to do it! Thanks for the inspiration!
Jen - best wishes to you. I think you are brave to do what you feel with working with buyers only :) I like both - keeps things very interesting for me but my passion is marketing... & getting creative - but I also love helping buyers find that perfect home - sellers sell for top dollar... the list goes on and on... we are truly blessed.
Thanks for all of your comments. I am off to make a "snow cone" ~Nicky
Most of the time as Realtors we hear complaints about things not going right, closing didn't happen on time,t insulting offer, problems with the house, inspection issues, the list goes on that stresses us out! However when its all said and done, I am happy to be a part of the process and matching people with properties. Home ownership is part of the American Dream. Its hard not to be passionate about being instrumental in that process!
Nicky, I do love what I'm doing. I spent 15 years as a stay at home mom and loved that! But now that I've started my own business I love it!!! I am very passionate about helping homeowners in NWA! Love the emails that I receive from these homeowners...I know I'm helping them! What a blessing...I have no regrets!
I took this to heart, got passionate about what I do.. worked 25 years .. and then got sick. Oh well, getting well.... now back to the passion
of living... holding a charity event and invited all my clients and friends..... and back to the work I do best.
Nice post.
